Lorgnette eye patch

The lorgnette eye patch is used to mask the vision of one of the two eyes. It sits on the nose and thus provides better stability than a spoon eye patch. It is an essential accessory in ophthalmology and optometry. It is used during vision tests, in combination with an optometric scale, a visual acuity scale or a Parinaud hand scale, to detect disorders such as myopia, hyperopia, presbyopia, etc.

The patient will successively place this medical device in front of each of his eyes and thus be able to check the visual acuity of the unobstructed eye.

Spoon eye patch

This medical device allows the ophthalmologist to test the visual acuity of each eye taken individually by successively placing the spoon eye patch in front of one of the two eyes to block vision.

It is made of sturdy plastic and has a long handle to make it easier to hold.
