- Reflects the internal temperature, but is approximately 0.5°C lower than it.
Reliable indicator of the child’s condition
Probe Installation
- Remove the adhesive protection from the probe cover
- Place the black side of the probe on the adhesive of the probe cover
- Lightly coat the metal side of the probe with Vaseline
- Glue the probe cover with the metal side to the newborn’s skin
The most commonly used position is on the abdomen.
