What reference curves do you use in your department to assess the level of jaundice in newborns?
To assess the level of jaundice in term and postterm newborns, we use the American Academy of Pediatrics reference curves. We rely on their latest version, published in 2023 in Pediatrics, the official journal of the Academy.
Previously, we were already using these curves in their previous version, published about fifteen years ago.
